Job Title: Project Management Office (PMO) Apprentice Project Manager – Level 4
Function /CFBU: Corporate Office
Dimensions of the Job:
Reports to: Head of Project Management Office
Location: Runcorn

Job Summary: Working for the Head of Programme Management Office (PMO) the jobholder will
provide administrative support to manage the projects and programmes portfolio
and reporting cycles whilst gaining knowledge on how to manage projects through
workplace experience and a structured apprenticeship leading to a Level 4
qualification.

Responsibilities : · Ensure the Live Portfolio is kept up to date with the latest project information,
where require seek out and challenge information provided

· Assist with the management the projects and programmes portfolio:


o Planning
o Scheduling
o Progress tracking and Project Control
o Identification and tracking of risks and issues
o Attending and assisting in project meetings
o Template and Document Control
o Stakeholder Management and Communication

· Manage the monthly reporting cycles to ensure timely production of Status


Reports and SteerCo Packs

· Carry out project related analyses as requested by H ead of PMO

· Once established; b ecome the SME for Quality Assurance for project critical
information/documents and provide guidance on best practices, help and advice
to business managers in their project related endeavours

· When assigned provide assistance to PMs in eliciting scopes, undertaking


planning estimates and helping to define a project’s structure

· Initially the role will involve supporting and assisting the project team on
projects of all sizes, and may develop to management of projects

Knowledge, Skills &
Qualifications: Essential:
· Good communication and interpersonal skills
· Maths and English GCSE at Grade A – C or equivalent.
· Analytical and problem-solving mindset
· Well Organised
· Strong experience of Microsoft Office (Excel and PowerPoint)

Desirable:
· Experience of MS Project
· Experience of MS Visio
· Knowledge of Project Management Models.

General
· Strong evidence of commitment to academic study.
· Desire to undertake a 2 year apprenticeship programme
