SUBJECT: NOTICE OF TEMPORARY LAYOFF

ATTENTION: NAME OF EMPLOYEE

As you may know, ____________________ (the “Company”) is experiencing business


losses attributable to the decreased volume of business and difficulty in collection vis-à-vis
continuous capital outflow due to the existence of the COVID-19 pandemic. Sadly, we are
forced to take dire measures to keep the Company afloat to mitigate the negative impact
brought about by this public health crisis.

After due deliberation and careful consideration, the Company deemed it best to reduce
its workforce by temporarily lay off a number of its employees, in accordance with law. By
being placed under floating status or temporary layoff, employees are momentarily suspended
and relieved from their post or position until they are reinstated or transferred to a new one.

In view of the foregoing, it is with regret that we inform you that the Company deemed
it necessary lay you off temporarily, effective thirty (30) days after service of this Notice or on
________________. However please note that this is only for a temporary basis and that the
Company will reinstate you to your former position or transfer you a similar one within six (6)
months or sooner.
