Please accept this letter as a professional reference for Ms. Grace Gorman I have
known Grace as a child care worker since March of 2017. In this time, I have seen
her grow into an amazing educator. I have had the opportunity to work along side
her, in her program, as a child care support worker. I have also had my own two
children in her care.
Grace is a patient, charismatic leader in the classroom. She is well respected
without being authoritarian, which in my opinion, is a huge feat when it comes to
young children. She is very mindful in her program planning and adapts the
classroom learning to fit the needs of her students. In this pandemic, Grace felt her
typical Montessori class needed a bit more flexibility. She introduced two "self-care"
days each month, to promote and encourage self-awareness and good mental health
practices. These days have been a huge success in the class. So much so, that the
children are now often asking when the next one will be.
Grace is approachable and easy to talk to. She has a great rapport, not only
with the families in her centre, but also the staff. I would gladly recommend Grace's
program to anyone looking for quality child care.
I believe she will continue to excel in any career involving children, youth
and families.
