June 17, 2021 To whom it may concern: We are pleased to have this opportunity to provide a reference letter for Grace Gorman, regarding her ‘work at the Juniper Early Learning Centre, and as a significant part of our children’s upbringing so far. “Miss Grace” has worked with both our son Emery and our daughter Marcy since they joined the preschool in 2018. From day one, she has established a welcoming and caring environment for the kids. She has supported, encouraged, and nurtured them, and we have had full confidence in entrusting our kids to her care, She is approachable, communicative, respectful, and exactly the role model that anyone would hope for. Our kids, like many siblings, are complete opposites of each other. What really amazes us is how Grace is able to give them both what they need, to encourage their individual growth. Our son has been diagnosed with Developmental Coordination Disorder, and Grace has been a part of his development since before that diagnosis. She has worked with our family through some very tough times. She has shown patience with Emery as he has worked on basic development milestones, and we feel that her approach with him has contributed to the confidence and independence he has shown in his move to kindergarten this year. Marcy is strong willed and fearless. Grace has helped her understand consequences of her actions, to step back and look at the big picture, and the importance of following rules, She has been able to calmly manage Marcy's strong temperament, and has helped us find resources to do the same. Grace is dependable, and always goes above and beyond. She makes herself available to discuss issues and concerns as they arise. During the pandemic, she went the extra mile to hold zoom sessions for the kids, drop of projects for them to work on at home, and made sure to check in and keep us all informed of how the situation was progressing. She has a brilliant and warm personality, and we appreciate her ability to find teaching opportunities in everyday life. She provides the kids with positive learning experiences, and in addition to beginner academics, she has taught them empathy, responsibility, and self-assurance. We are truly so fortunate to have had Grace in our kids lives for the past few years. Sincerely, Courtney & Ivan Gustafson
