Experiment 4

Connect the laptops in LAN

First go to Local Disk (C:)

and create a SHARED
FOLDER or set any
location on your laptops
or pc’s
Second, locate your
“SHARED FOLDER” right
click and click properties,
another window will
pop-up. On the
SHAREDFOLDER
Properties click “Sharing”

Click “Share” and

“File Sharing”
pane will pop-up

Toggle on drop
down icon and
choose everyone
after that click
“Add”

If you want to modified the

content of folder from your
android device then
choose “Read/Write”
Permission Level. After
finalizing toggle on
“SHARE” and wait for the
 procedure to be done.

Once the process is

completed, just click
“Done” and we’re good
at the laptop/computer
set-up let’s move on to
the android/mobile
phone configuration.

Now go to Playstore and

download “File Manager Mi”
once it is installed Open the
File.
Toggle on the 3-line menu icon
located at the top corner of the
app.
Click on “Remote”

Click “Add remote device” and

choose “LAN”

Scanning will take more than a

minute, so as an advice “Click
Edit” and fill-up the form
regarding your IP Address and
your laptop/computer account
that contains Username and
Password.
After Scanning, you may now
have access to your laptop/pc
folder in your mobile phones.
You may now view, delete, add
contents to this folder that
you’ve shared.
