This method statement shall be read in conjunction with the following Documenis ASME APL 1104, Welding of Pips SPY-2-+ SPY-24 SPY- SPY- SPY-24 8313 Process Piping e and Related Facilities 0000-CM-PR-022 General Work Procedure for Welding .0000-TY-SP-008 General Requirements for Welded Facil -0000-TY-SP-009, General Requirements for Pipework Fabrication 0000-CM-PR-023_Non Destructive Testing Procedure 0000-TY-SP-011 ‘General Requirements for Pipeline Fabrication. 5.0 GENERAL 54 5.2 5.24 5.22 52.3 5.24 5.25 5.26 5.27 Bevel repair shall be performed as per approved and qualified WPS by qualified welders. The method of repair is as follows: Remove any jagged edges by grinding to a smooth surface. If necessary, preheat the area as per the applicable WPS. Using a qualified welder and welding consumables per the applicable WPS, weld the area in question by the GTAW process. Upon completion of welding, grind the weld to blend in smoothly with the adjacent surface. Inspect the area visually for any defects. Examine the area by MT to verify that the repair is free from defects. If no defects are present, clean the area to remove contrast paint and ink to complete the work Repaired bevels shall be subjected to 100% RT upon completion of butt welding
