How to change sounder “Mode (Tone) and Level” in ZX series panel

This document contains a stepwise guide to change the Mode (Tone) and (Volume) Level of sounders
compatible with this function.

Changing sounder Tone and Volume Level

1. Normal Condition

2. Pressing the SHIFT key will show a list of optional functions or prompt for the level 2 password

3. Press the ‘Yes’ key and the display will prompt for entry of the password.

4. Enter the 4-digit, Level 2 password. The display then shows the Main Menu of user options.

5. To access the commissioning functions in the panel, press ‘1’ to select the commission option.
6. The display will prompt for entry of the Level 3 password. Enter the Level 3 password using the
numeric keys.

7. The display will then show the commissioning menu options.

8. Page 1 of the Commission menu is shown below:

9. Press “1” to select the “CONFIGURE” option


Note: The CONFIGURE option and all sub menu options require the Memory Lock to
be open.

10. The display then shows a menu of options as follows:

11. After selecting a loop from the configure menu, the display will present a list of options as follows:

12. The ‘Devices’ option from the display gives information on the various types of device fitted on a
loop.

13. Press 2 to select the ‘Devices’ option. The system will ask which address you want to start at:

14. Give address of the sounder to change its Tone and Level

15. After giving the address for inspection below screen will appear

16. Changes are made by first pressing the ‘Change’ key . A menu screen will open

17. Select ‘9) Level and Mode’ to select Level (volume) and Mode (tone) option. The default settings*
are displayed as below:

18. Press the ‘Change’ key to edit the Level (volume) and Mode (tone) settings and then
press ‘Enter’ or ‘Yes’ to accept the changes and exit.
