Why calcium hydroxide cannot be used as a permanent root filling material in permanent teeth?
In deciduos teeth, calcium hydroxide can cause internal resorption due to its high alkalinity which has
the propensity to hasten the inherent predilection of the pulp progenitor cells in primary teeth to
form odontoclasts.
