In this topic you will learn that plants and animals
are living things. You will also learn that there are
living things and things which have never been
alive. You will explore how plants and animals live
in different environments. You will learn the main
parts of a plant and about the things that plants
need to grow. Lastly, you will investigate and
learn how seeds grow into plants.

These things come from plants and animals.
Wood comes from trees. We use wood for many things.
Trees are living but wood is non-living. When wood is cut
from a tree it stops growing, so it is no longer alive.
Some things have never been alive, such as water, stone,
metal and plastic.
