reliable and efficient steam turbine solutions. Triveni Turbine Ltd. is a leading
industrial steam turbine manufacturer, with a dominant market share of over 60% in
India. Over 4,000 steam turbines supplied by Triveni have been installed across 18
industries in over 70 countries, including Europe, Africa, Central & Latin America,
SE Asian and SAARC countries. Triveni caters to varied and diverse industries like
Biomass IPP, Municipal Solid Waste IPP, District Heating, Palm Oil, Paper, Sugar,
Naval, Textiles, Metals, Cement, Carbon Black, Solvent Extraction, Pharmaceutical,
Chemicals, Petrochemicals, Fertilizers, Oil & Gas Municipal Solid Waste based
Independent Power Plants (IPPs), and Captive Power Plants (CPPs). The Triveni
Group of Companies is a focused, growing conglomerate having diversified interests
in Engineering, Co-Generation, Clean Water Solutions, Distillery and Sugar.
Triveni’s capability has been in precision engineering and has been in the forefront
for over five decades now. The group is a market leader in the engineering business
and offers state of the art solutions for the Turbo-Generator island and industrial Gear
Boxes. Triveni group has set up the first co-generation plant in India.
● Product profile:

BACKPRESSURE TURBINES : The back pressure turbine is used for supplying

process steam to the facilities in private-use power producers. This type of steam
turbine supplies not only electricity but also steam to various process requirements.

Straight Backpressure
Single Cylinder Turbine without any flanged port provision for steam extraction.
Total Steam is expanded through the Turbine stages to Generate Power. Exhaust
steam from Turbine is connected to the process header. These Turbines are typically
useful in Co-generation and Process Let-down Applications.

Bleed Backpressure
In an uncontrolled extraction type, a tap is provided at a predetermined stage for
drawing out the steam for heating solutions.
The un-controlled extraction steam is used for process steam applications (with a
smaller quantity of steam flow and set temperature requirements) and LP heating
applications like de-aerator for heating solutions.
These turbines can also be deployed in the District heating application.

CONDENSING TURBINES : The condensing turbine is able to use the total energy
of the inlet steam flow to a maximum extent. Therefore, this type of turbine is used
for power utilities that want to supply electricity to consumers as much as possible.

Straight Condensing
In a Straight Condensing type steam turbine, the heat energy of steam is completely
converted into mechanical energy (torque).

○ The mechanical energy is utilized to generate power.

○ The straight condensing type finds application in industries where power
generation is prime objective e.g. captive power plant/ IPP.
○ Straight condensing type is very common in places where
○ Bleed is used for de-aerator
○ Incidental power generation

Extraction Condensing

One of the most versatile setups in terms of operation and intricate in terms of design.
It provides a constant pressure steam through a controlled extraction at various
loading conditions of the turbine-based on seasonal variations.

Double Controlled Extraction Condensing

Single Cylinder design with Control extraction valves at two different stages to
provide constant pressure steam at predetermined values. A partial steam flow is
drawn out of the turbine at constant pressures as per the process requirements.
Control valves are basically two types a) Diaphragm, b) Passing/Throttle Valve, that
controls the flow of steam at preset pressures accommodating the seasonal variation
of turbine load.

Axial Turbines
Typical Turbine exhaust orientation is radial in standard power plants whereas in
Axial type, the steam exhaust is Axial ,parallel to the rotor axis and connected to the
Axial surface condenser which is mounted on the same floor.

Injection Condensing

Single Cylinder design with Injection valve arrangement at a predetermined pressure

stage to Inject secondary steam. A partial steam flow is admitted to the Turbine at a
predetermined pressure stage. Injection valve controls Injection flow, pressure
depending on Turbine load & admission flow variation. Injection valve comprises
Flow control valve, Pressure control valve, pressure sensors etc.

● Client profile :

With its robust, reliable and efficient steam turbine solutions, TTL delivers unmatched
value to its customers globally. Its design, manufacturing and supply chain
capabilities extend beyond quality products to encompass an exceptional range of
spares & services, as well as refurbishment, thereby creating a holistic value

● Organization structure :
● Present market share :
