To whom it may concern

I am writing this letter in support of Grace Gorman’s efforts to show her abilities in child and
youth care. It is my opinion the Grace has a very clear understanding and passion for her career
choice.
Grace has cared for our four children for over four years both as a relief caregiver and in a
daycare setting. When scheduling relief care; Grace has been understanding and flexible of
changes that I needed to make and honest in her ability to accommodate my schedule requests.
We know we can count on her and appreciate this quality in Grace. She hears and applies all our
requests for strategies when caring for our children and relates back all events with clarity; her
communication is clear and effective. While in the daycare setting she made sure we were very
well informed of all the routines and expectations. She supported the need for other professionals
to attend/support the children within the centre. When necessary she communicated information
between said professionals, the social worker and us while maintaining confidentiality.
Grace has supported our children through some difficult behaviors’ with understanding and
patience providing them with opportunities to learn and make amends while maintaining their
dignity. She has shown great understanding and respect for them and the learning process they
go through. During one of our child’s transition to kindergarten we requested she provide a letter
to us and the school to better support this transition. She shared valuable information with
professionalism and a true desire to support both us and our child to have a successful start to the
school year.
In my opinion Grace has always shown a true passion for her career choice and faces all aspects
with confidence, openness to learn, and professionalism. We feel very privileged to have her
working with us.
