Boston Trust is seeking a Compliance Associate. This position reports to the Director of Risk
Management and provides support for the risk management and compliance function. This
individual will work closely with other Compliance and Legal staff to ensure a high level of
compliance with respect to regulatory requirements as well as legal, operational, and financial risk
management policies.

Key Responsibilities

• Preparing internal memos, written reports, meetings minutes, drafting policies, preparing
training materials, reviewing and maintaining corporate documents
• Conducting ongoing reviews of the daily trade blotter, exception reports and other fund
and client account activity
• Coordinating the Bank Secrecy Act and Business Continuity Management program
activities.
• Performing a variety of self-monitoring processes to ensure compliance with regulatory,
legal and policy requirements (New Account Acceptance Review; Administrative Account
Review; Routine File Maintenance Review, as well as other Targeted Risk Reviews).
• Reviews the design of internal controls, policies, and procedures and provides
recommendations for enhancement
• Conducting risk assessments on select business and operational processes, procedures,
and policies; analyzes results and makes recommendations on the adequacy and
reliability of controls

 • Maintaining risk management database; records, company policies, files, and electronic
records.
• Providing support and oversight during audits and examinations.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years’ experience in an investment adviser compliance organization

• Experience writing professional materials (e.g. training, minutes, memos, and reports)
• Must have excellent written and oral communication skills
• Must have strong attention to detail
• Must be able to independently manage and prioritize multiple tasks and projects
• Knowledge of Bank Secrecy Act, Patriot Act, OFAC and other AML Regulations a plus
• BS/BA in a related field or equivalent direct experience desired.
• Strong Excel skills and proficiency in other MS Office products
• Knowledge of Advent applications, Salesforce, or SEI Trust Accounting a plus
