In the end term assessment of Applied Managerial Communication course, I, along with my

team members, made a social media campaign for the promotion of the company “PNB
MetLife Insurance” in which some of our team members would be working.
Following are my learnings from the project:
1. While making any social media plan, we need to first analyze the current scenario
inside and outside the organization. We should collect some facts and figures before
reaching out to any conclusive plan or before taking decisions. While presenting our
first draft of campaign, we made our plan without looking for the reasons or facts and
figures, after discussion with ma’am, we learnt that we need to first analyze all the
aspects before reaching out to the conclusion.
2. I also learnt that while working in a team we should listen to everyone’s aspect and
respect other’s situation before making any assumption regarding others. As at this
time, many are facing some or the other problems. We as a team respected each
other’s situation and worked collectively to complete the assessment.
3. I also learnt how to analyze other person’s state of mind through their body language.
Since we had meetings for hours in a single day while working on the project, when
few of us used to get tried, I could get that through their energy and used to tell that
we should take a break and should come back after some time.
4. I also learnt that taking initiative is essential while working in groups because
everyone wants motivation to complete the work and one person’s initiative can
motivate others to complete the work and deliver their best.
Following are the challenges which I faced:
1. Everyone is not that motivated to complete the work as we are, so we need to take
initiative and come out as a leader to lead a team and complete the work before
deadline. Therefore, I and Simran took the initiative to direct the team.
2. Another challenge was time management, as many of group members are from
different specialization, we need to manage the time and complete the project.
Therefore, we decided to meet on holidays but for longer duration to complete our
tasks.
3. Last challenge was I need to constantly support other team members patiently and
listen to their problem and then give them the suggestions for it. I tried to support the
team members to the extent possible even if my own work got delayed. I stretched
myself a little bit to achieve both the task at the same time.
Qualitative review to peers:
1. All my team members are hardworking but they need to be pushed a little bit to get
motivated.
2. All the members have team spirit, we all worked in a team and supported each other
to complete the tasks.
