VI. LEARNING ACTIVITIES (20 pts)
REFLECTION
Considering your ideas/beliefs in the given situations/questions under the application
part, make a reflection on this question.

Will I as a professional teacher go through CPD even if not mandated by law?

CPD or Continuing Professional Development for teachers refers to imparting or instilling
advanced knowledge, skills, values and practices in a post-licensure specialization for lifelong
learning. Even if not mandated by law, as an aspiring professional teacher, I would like to go
through CPD. It does not only promote general welfare and interest of the public in delivering
professional services but it also aims to improve the quality of professionals through updating
them on the timely styles and practice of their profession. It also enhances the quality of work of
the professionals through lifelong learning. Through the abbreviation CPD, which stands for
continuing professional development, I believe that going through this will be a great help for me
to improve my skills and capabilities in teaching and develop more practices that can support
and guide me to be locally and globally competitive. Yes, it requires time and effort for this to be
gained but in the long-run, it can be an advantage that can benefit me as well as the individuals
that I will be teaching.
