Training Load
❑What is it Training Load
Explained ❑Components of Training Load

•Training Load oa specific duration (volume)

oto become fitter and faster and at a prescribed
need to stress body over and pace/power/zone
over for adaptations (intensity)
oachieve that is through our
daily/weekly/monthly basis osum of it will result the total
oIn simple way Training Load = training load for that
volume (duration+ frequency) specific session
+ intensity (pace/power).

Components of Training Load oNow What is Volume?

(How Much)
otraining volume is total
amount of work done
oVolume = weight lifted x sets x
repetitions
oExample: 50kg x 10 sets x 10
repetitions = 5000 kg
oThis 5000 kg is total Volume

oNow What is Intensity? oNow What is Frequency?

(How Hard) (How Often)
oIntensity is the average ofrequency is how often you
weight lifted in a workout perform move, practice certain
oVolume of weight lifted ÷ Total exercise or train muscle.
Repetitions performed oFrequency can be high and low
For Example: 50kg x 10 sets x 10 oHigh frequency means 3 times
repetitions = 5000 kg per week or more
oThis 5000 kg is total Volume but oLow frequency is no more than
Intensity is 5000 ÷ 10 rep = 500
2 times per week

oHope you are now clear
