1 Introduction of Techroutes L2 Switch for Small Cell


connectivity:-
This document we introduce Techroutes L2 Switch “2708F-UP” for Small cell connectivity.
2708F-UP is 8 port Switch consist Optical Ports.

2 Front View of 2708F-UP L2 Switch


The 2708F-UP is a 1U compact cartridge device with dimensions of 220 mm (Width) × 150
mm (Depth) × 44.2mm (Height). All interfaces are located on the front panel.

3 Interface Types of 2708F-UP L2 Switch

3.1 Management Interface:-

(RJ 45) configure and manage the TR CES 2708F-UP initially
through the terminal software, such as the Hyper
Terminal in Windows/Secure CRT/Putty

5 LED Status info of 2708F-UP:-


Interface LED Status Description
Power supply LED
-Green: the power supply is normal.
- PWR Green
-Off: there is no power supply or the power supply is
abnormal.

- SYS Green -Flickering green every 1s in normal operation.


- If the indicator flickers, the data is being forwarded.
Interface working status LED
-Green: the optical interface is connected properly.
Green
LNK/A - Flickering green: the optical interface is
Giga (SFP) /
CT sending/receiving data.
Orange
-Off: the optical interface is disconnected or connected
improperly.

LNK/A - Press ZTP button the ZTP LED will glow green
ZTP Green
CT for 3 seconds

8 Rack Mounting Procedure 2708F-UP

Rack Mounting Procedure

1. Install Mounting brackets on both sides of device with proper screws which are provided.

2. Install the device in the Rack with Floating nuts

10 Powering – AC and DC Power Connections:-

L2 Switch can be powered by both AC and DC power supply at a time one will work.

Insert AC or DC Power Card on the Device – Single slot are compatible for both AC and DC
cards.

a. Connecting Console cable

12 Device Login via Serial Console Port:-


1. Connect one end of Console cable to the L2 Switch console port (RJ45 Port) and other end
to the Laptop (COM Port) – Console cable is supplied along with the Switch.
2. Right Click on My Computer and select the properties option.
3. Select Device Manager
4. Select the Ports and cross check on which COM port the L2 Switch is get connected.

5. Open Secure CRT/Putty, Hyper Terminal, Xshell Application.

6. In case of Secure CRT – Go to Quick Connect

7. Select the Protocol Serial

8. Set the Serial Parameter such as Port,Baud Rate (9600) and Click on Connect

9. Press Enter and enter the Username and password as admin to login into Device
