Psalms 116:15

` “Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of His saints. “

 The saints are those who believe and follow Jesus Christ. People who accept Jesus as
their Lord and Savior and repent from their sins were forgiven, restored and sanctified,
thus they were called saints in the sight of the Lord.
 These peoples lives are very precious to God, He will not allow them to die prematurely,
He will sustain them, watch over them and protect them. When they die, even their death
will be precious to God, not that He wants them to die but He sees beyond death, and that
is eternal life. He knows that after this life, a life with Him follows for those who
believed and served Him.
 Death was defeated when Jesus died on the cross and rose again. Death has no more
power in destroying peoples souls that is why 1 Corrinthians 15:55 says “O death
where is your sting? O grave where is thy victory?”
 This verse also meant that the death of the saints are honourable, meaning, God honors
the saints who die. Thus, death is not to be feared by Christians, because they have this
blessed hope of eternal life after this life ends.
