Our reviews and comments of the above proposal done as per the relevant technical specification document
and drawings.

1). Shear hooks (308) was used instead of rectangular shear links (307 &308) given by the designer. However,
shape of the link given in the designers drawing does not match with the geometry of the section D. Therefore,
JAEQR has no objection for changing the shape of link. Also, number of hooks provided in section D is more
than required amount. However, this link arrangement should be approved by the designer.

2). Bar no 302 (Short bar) in design drawing is missing.

3). Bar no 302 (Long bar) is needed to be staggered according to the designer.

4). No Starter bars were included for the bearing pads.

5). Check the number of bars for bar mark 302 and 350.

6). Check the shape of link 355, C and D parts should be curved.

Hence, provided technical details of Bridge pier bar bending schedule (Vehicular Bridge RB02) according to the
BS 8666:2000 are insufficient.
Please adhere the following Notes,

1. Please refer the Shop drawing no. CPCDP-CHEC-SBR-RB02-DR-C-0002/0003(14/06/2019) and

Construction drawing no. CPCDP-CHEC-SBR-RB00-DR-C-1012 Revision C2(22/04/2019).
2. Sample Reinforcement shall be fabricated in bulk for each batch and shall be checked for the actual site
measurement before fabricating.
3. Any irregularities appear in the bar schedule and the erection at the site shall be noticed to the designer
before review.
4. Provided bar bending schedule were checked according to Construction drawing no. CPCDP-CHEC-SBR-
RB00-DR-C-1012 Revision C2(22/04/2019) at site.
