Activity No. 1 – Thermometer Check

Name of FS Student: VERTUCIO, DAVE F. Year & Section: III-B2

Course and Major: Bachelor of Technical-Vocational Teacher Education (BTVTEd)-
Cooperating School: MinSCAT-Calapan City Campus

Your Target:

At the end of this activity, you will be able to describe through your reflection how the school
promotes partnership and dialogue.

Your Map:

For this process, go through the following steps:

1. Download an educational video clip ( a scenario in the classroom and/or in the school ) where interactions
are observed between and among students, teachers, and other school personnel. If possible, the
video is captured in the Philippines so that you could easily understand the interaction.
2. Write down your observations using the different suggested patterns and answer the questions below.
3. Reflect on your experiences.

MY OBSERVATION REPORT ON INTERACTION

Student-to-Student Interaction Patterns:

The interactions between the students in the classroom are aggressive but most of the time they

are cooperating with their classmates. As I observed, they give different ideas vice versa wherein they are

accepting and take this as a piece of new information or knowledge. Their participation individually makes a

unique presence of having a good and respectful environment inside the classroom.

Student-to-Teacher Interaction Patterns:

Students have a huge communication with their classmates but the most interaction with their

learnings come from their teacher. As I observed, they are diligently listened to and understand their

teacher. They are respectfully cooperating to their teacher instructions and carefully do their part as a
student. All in all, they have the eagerness to learn and cope with all the knowledge that comes from their

teacher.

Teacher-to-Student Interaction Patterns:

Learnings come from different experiences but school is one of the excessive ways in succeeding

in our dreams. Teachers take the role of our second parent and as leaders. As I observed, they lead and

guide for better learning for their students and interact in a way that all of them will cope and understand.

They acknowledge all the ideas of their students and do a pleasing amendment for some ideas that are not

related. As a whole, they are one of the best leaders that can inspire, motivate, and inculcate the minds of

the young generation.

Student-to-Non-Teaching Personnel Interaction Patterns:

The students are well-mannered for the non-teaching personnel as they see from their teachers.

As I observed, most of the time, they always being polite, having good manners, and right conduct. And all I

can say is that they are good students and followers.

Teacher-to-Teacher Interaction Patterns:

The interaction of the teachers from their colleagues is very respectful as themselves. As I

observed, they are continuously the way of proper ethical behavior and being a professional. They showed

that even though they are all educated there’s a limitation and they always put in their mind of being a good

and proficient leader in the eyes of their students, and the society.
You’re Analysis:

1. Why is a classroom a miniature of a greater society?

A classroom is a miniature of a greater society because teachers are the enormous leader of the

classroom and the students will be the followers. The teachers lead the way for a better future

while students follow the rules, policy, and even the laws. The greater aspect of this is that the

interactions for both of them are continuous and lead to a better outcome. Although there are some

complications it is just feedback for those who are not willing to understand that classroom is a

miniature of a greater society. So, through the process of having a good quality of the relationship

will longer the connections and exchanges of learning and knowledge.

2. What is found in the classrooms that are similar to what can be observed in society?

The connections and interactions are found in the classrooms which are similar in the society. The

students’ collaboration is like in society, they are exchanging thoughts, ideas, and even plans.

They spend time on some stuff that is exciting to do but in a good way. They experience also being

rejected, lost, and in pain. Although there are some differences the involvement of an individual is

just the same because you can do whatever you want but there’s a policy for the classroom and

laws from the society. Interactions occur whatever you want because you are human. The

classroom and society have a huge influence on an individual and that is the reality.
You’re Reflections:

Exploring new ideas will earn you proficient and boundless learning. I believe that having a good

connection and upright attitude will make you a better living. Through interactions with other people will

wake up in the sense of I am in a world that full of experiences, ideas, and philosophies. After I observed, I

realized that you need to stand and be brave for what are you thinking and exchange thoughts to calibrate

your mind that having magnificent connections and interactions with others is significant. Remember, that

“No man is an island,” all the essentials that you have are never denied.
