DATE DAY LEARNINGS AND NARRATIVES

June 1 In Applied Operations Management, we talked about the final step in
the travel experience cycle, which is the finalization, in this session. Our
mentor had just shown us the checklists that we needed to think about
MONDAY
before finalizing. She also talked about the importance of the booking
status codes that are required. It was a short meeting since she wanted
us to take rest.
June 2 We talked about Contract Reviewing Part 1 in this session. We were
given a practical exercise about contract review before we had our talk.
We talked about the procedures to finishing a contract, and how to get
started. We also talked about contracts in one of our sessions, which
was about corporate travel and program management.

TUESDAY For this week's session of corporate travel, we resumed our discussion
of the several types of corporate travel suppliers and data reviews per
supplier, including automobile rental firms, credit card companies, and
security and safety providers. It is critical for car rental companies to
negotiate car rental rates and rate inclusions. The credit limit, bank
fees, and merchant acceptance are all important factors for credit card
companies.
June 3 One of the program management concentrations (PMC), duty of care:
safety and security, has been discussed. We realized the value of data
privacy, passenger tracking, and emergency help as a result of this. The
right to be informed, the right to access, the right to object, the right to
erasure or blocking, the right to damages, the right to submit a
WEDNESDAY
complaint, the right to file, and the right to data portability are all vital
for data privacy. The mentor also provided us with a data analysis
checklist so that we could learn its components. We've only talked
about the goal, program milestones, executive summary, air/hotel data
dashboards, and top visa countries so far.
June 4 We continued our discussion with the finalization process. We began
with the control slip, which serves as the foundation for the invoice,
which is a document that specifies how much to collect from the client.
THURSDAY
Control slips also serve as a foundation for back office reporting and as
an internal control mechanism. Our mentor demonstrated a sample
booking, complete with pricing and a control slip.
June 5 FRIDAY
In General Tourism Marketing, we are only asked to present our take
home exercises given last session and we had the culmination of those
in regards to a client and a travel consultant. I always like how our
mentors makes his session interactive by complementing our works
