The objectives of the “Online-kumustahan” are hereby listed
below:
a. To provide instruction on the assessment of pupils’ learning
Objective/s: in reading Filipino with the help of parents this school year.
b. To provide activity sheets as enrichment exercises to those
pupils in needs.

Key Results In accordance with this, the Grade 2 teachers of
Tarcan Elementary School administer “Online
Kamustahan” to build up online learning while face
to face classes is suspended temporarily so as to
this point there are so many things that both the
teachers, parents, and pupils have realized and
continue to realize different lessons in every
scenarios during this times of pandemic.

The “Online Kamustahan” direct the


education system in the Philippines to progress
variety of activities online for pupils especially for
Grade 2 students who have approach in internet at
their homes and as well as by the use of printed
modules for every subjects for those pupils living in
crucial areas wherein there is no gadget or any
gadget to be utilized and to allow command to
continue despite school closures.

The COVID-19 crisis has forced education systems


worldwide to find alternatives to face-to-face
instruction. As a result, online teaching and learning
have been used by teachers and students on an
unprecedented scale. Since lockdowns – either
massive or localized - may be needed again in the
future to respond to new waves of the infection until
a vaccine becomes available, it is of utmost
importance for governments to identify which
policies can maximize the effectiveness of online
learning. This policy brief examines the role of

students’ attitudes towards learning in maximizing


the potential of online schooling when regular face-
to-face instruction cannot take place. Since parents
and teachers play a fundamental role in supporting
students to develop these crucial attitudes,
particularly in the current situation, targeted policy
interventions should be designed with the aim of
reducing the burden on parents and help teachers
and schools make the most of digital learning.

The “Online Kumustahan” began at 1 o’clock


in the afternoon with a short yet meaningful prayer
led by Mrs. Marina C. Ramos, and followed by the
singing of the national anthem virtually conducted
by Mrs. Iris Yvonne Mae A. Austria. While Mrs.
Maylene D. Cabingao checked the attendance of all
participants by section. And last but not the least,
Mrs. Ma. Melanie B. Garcia served as the platform
host and web presenter.

The first speaker was our principal, Mrs.


Maria Filipinas S. Joson. She reminded the parents
and pupils to follow school protocols while inside
school premises especially during distribution and
retrieval of modules for everyone’s protection and
safety.

The second speaker was Mrs. Mary Anne H.


Villaroman, Teacher I. She discussed the weekly
learning activity that aims to engage pupils and
parents as Para Teachers to guide the pupils in
answering modules at home.

The next speakers were Mrs. Marina C. Ramos and


Mrs. Iris Yvonne Mae A. Austria and Mrs. Maylene
D. Cabingao They focused their presentation on
“Project BASO” (Bumasa At Sumulat Online),it is a
project that helps Grade 2 pupils to improve further
their reading performance. They elaborated the
other interventions made to assess the reading
capability of the pupils. These materials have been
leveled so that each pupil can easily use it for
reading at home.

“Online Kamustahan” ended at around 2:30


in the afternoon, leaving important learnings and
informations to parents pupils and also to teachers.
