1. The heading of a letter is of two types, namely; a. traditional heading; and modern heading
or letterhead. The letter is placed around five spaces from the top margin; the former, at
the upper right-hand side of the paper. The traditional heading contains the writer’s
complete address and the date of the letter, while the letterhead or modern heading that is
seen only on the first page of a double or multiple-page letter gives the following
principal information: full name, full address. Telephone number, and the nature of the
nature of the business of the company sending the letter.
