2. Motivation

“Tell me without telling me”


The students will play a game through “Passing the Pen” and when the
teacher says “stop” the student who’s holding the pen will explain why the student
should love a career choice in cookery but with a twist of the game “Tell me without
telling me”. Maximum of 5 students shall be given the chance but still depending on the
time the teacher will allot.

3. Discussion

a. Modelling ( I DO)

Show pictures to students and tell them what are the names of each
kitchen tools and equipment and their different uses.

(During “I Do”, there will be no interruption like questioning and others, the
teacher will exclusively model the lesson. (Just let pupils imitate, if they
will imitate you silently.)

b. Guided Practice ( We Do)

Activity 1- Group activity

Each group will formulate a recipe that shows the utilization of different
kitchen tools and equipment, they can add more than the discussed tools
by the teacher.

c. Independent Practice (You Do)

Treasure Hunting (Hunting Pictures)


Prepare a surprise activity for students, hide pictures of different tools and
equipment under their table, and let them identify its name and the
appropriate usage of it and how to properly store the specific kitchen tools
and equipment. They can use internet to research more about the tools
they are holding. After that, they are going to present it in front of the
class.

your own house.
