In the Metropolitan Area of Medellin there has been seeing a very strange phenomenon, annually
in summer, the levels of pollution in the city increase and sometimes it is so high that is not good
to be outdoors, and the principal reason of this problem is the transport system.

To solve this terrible problem, we have to do many things, for example, take the bus and the
metro instead of driving your own car or motorbike, because if the number of cars in the city
increase, the pollution will increase too. Another solution must be to be strict with the law
because the “Pico y Placa Ambiental” exists but people don’t care about that. And finally, if the
government want to improve the air condition, they have to change the old buses.

To be able to put these solutions into practice the people and the government must work
together. The government has to take control of the situation and make effective decisions, do
campaigns to encourage the use of public transport, also, they must create laws for the people
who don’t obey the environmental laws. Nevertheless, people have to become aware of the
situation and be more responsible.

To sum up, we can say there’s a clear reflection, we have to be good citizens and take notice of all
the things that are happening on the planet and in our city, only in this way we can make a change
in the world.
