1. What is the topic of the speech? Acceptance How about its message?

Racism and
discrimination usually happens because people don’t want to accept that there are people who
are different from themselves and that those differences don’t make anyone better or superior to
anybody. The speaker wanted to emphasize the fact that acceptance despite differences isn’t
impossible.

2. How did the speaker use the tone, volume/voice modulation, phrasing/stop to make his speech
more interesting? The speaker spoke as if he was telling an interesting story with his friends. His
tone was very comfortable to listen to. It wasn’t too exaggerated but also wasn’t boring. His
words were also very clear and audible. There are some western speakers who uses slang accent
which makes it harder to understand, but this speaker spoke in an easily understandable way. He
also made pauses in the right timings—giving a feeling of suspense, emphasis, or time for the
audiences to think.
