About the PWM Report

1. This report serves to provide key information relating to the Progressive Wage Model (PWM) for
the Lift & Escalator (L&E) sector, being adopted by a lift company for their Singaporean/Singapore
Permanent Resident (SPR) lift maintenance personnel.

2. The PWM provides clearly defined career progression pathways (supervisory and specialist) with
corresponding key competencies at each level for maintenance personnel to pursue. The PWM
also recommends basic monthly wages that commensurate with competencies at each level.

3. Refer to Diagram 1 for illustration on job roles and recommended wages at each level of the
career progression pathways.

Adoption of Progressive Wage Model


3. Under Tab (D), the company shall map the number of Singapore Citizens/Singapore
Permanent Residents (SPRs) employees onto the relevant PWM wage levels based on
their competencies or job role as indicated in Table 1.
By mapping based on competencies, the employees placed in the respective job roles
are deemed to be performing the corresponding job scope. It is not compulsory for
employees' designations to be the same as the PWM Job Title listed in Table 1 of Part
D.

4. Company shall list the details of the all employees (listed in Part D) under Annex A of
this report.
