How To Use Rate Analysis of Brick Work Calculator Rate Analysis of Brick Work
The basis of arriving at a correct and reasonable rate per unit. Work or Supply for a particular item
following its specification and detail survey of materials, labour, equipment, etc. as required for the
unit work and their prevailing rates may be called as an analysis of rate.
This calculator is used for rate analysis of Brick work. Here we will see Step by step how this calculator
works.
First Enter your Rate analysis area in Cu.m. as per shown in the below picture.
Enter your Brick work Cement and Sand ratio as per shown in the below picture. (Cement and Sand ratio
in different cells)
Step – 3. Brick Size
Enter your Brick Size like length, breadth and height in mm as per shown in the below picture. (Length,
Breadth and Height in different cells)
Enter your labour charges rate like Mate rate, Mason rate, Helper rate and coolie rate as per shown in
the below picture. ( Mate, Mason, Helper, and Coolie rate in different cells)
Check your further details like wastage percentage, other extra charges, water charges and contractor
profit percentage. If any are changed as per your requirement than a change in cells that are shown in
below cells.
Step – 7. Rate of Brick Work as Per the Required Area
After completing the above 6 steps final answer given last cells that’s are Cost of 10 Cu.m. that are
shown in the below picture.
if you required to print your plastering work calculation you can use print button option.
The volume of 1 brick with mortar = 198 * 198 * 98 ( 8 mm mortar thickness on all sides)
Requirement of brick 10 cu.m. = 526 nos (1 cu.m = 526 nos. of brick) * 10 cu.m
So, 10 cu.m. brick work requirement of brick = 5260 nos. of brick requirement
Calculation of Cement
The volume of 500 bricks without mortar = 526 nos. * 0.001539 Cu.m. (m3)
The volume of bricks without mortar for 1 cum = 0.8095 Cu.m. (m3)
So, The required amount of cement mortar = 1 Cum – Volume of bricks without mortar
= 0.2534 * 0.25
Cement in k.g. = 0.06334 cu.m. * 1440 (1440 kg/m Density of cement for 50 k.g)
o = 0.06334 * 1440 = 91. 2114 kg of cement of bag requied ment of cement in k.g.
So, 10 cu.m. brick work requirement of cement =1.825 bag * 10 cu.m. = 18.26 bag
Calculation of Sand
So,
So, 10 cu.m. brickwork requirement of sand = 0.1900 Cu.m * 10 cu.m. = 1.90 cu.m.
As per calculation of rate analysis in labor consumption per Cu.m. requirement as per our experience or
CPWD book, this book public by Central Public Works Department, Government of India for easy
calculation of the rate analysis, etc.
As CPWD Mate per cu.m. 0.4 of day Mate & Mason, Halper per cu.m. 0.8 of day, Coolie for water curing
per cu.m. 0.4 of day
Waste in Brick Masonry
All measurements of cuttings shall unless otherwise stated, be deemed to include consequent waste.
Like brick masonry, Cement, and Sand wastage 2% as per IS code allowance
