Briefer No.1- Supply Chain Management and Inventory Management Topic.

- In this particular topic, it is discussed that the management of a supply chain from top
to bottom, from the acquisition of raw materials to the distribution of finished products
to the consumers, involves numerous vendors and suppliers. In the phases of supply
chain management, the underlying ideology is the process of purchasing, with this
word, comes the word money. The word or the job description of
purchasing/purchaser is always linked to the word money. In a company, for it to
become stable and efficient, it must primary secure the monetary value of the
company and its existing assets. Therefore, the selection of the pre-purchased items
for the manufacturing and transformation process of the end product must be closely
and strictly observed by the purchaser in charge, Furthermore, the appointment of
the purchaser should also be deliberated thoroughly.

The idea of proper management of a supply chain of a certain company is not

just revolving around the acquisition of raw materials to the delivery of end products
to the consumers but also the satisfaction of the consumers towards the products
that are acquired from the company. This satisfaction will lead to long-term stability
and goodwill between the company and the consumers. To achieve this goal, the
company must reassure its consumers that its products are reliable and efficient in
any other way. It is also critically important that the company must secure its
long-term plans concerning the mere slight increase of the things that are involved in
the cycle of the supply chain, from the raw materials to the other costs that are
involved in the management of the supply chain.
