Product and Services

A good way of getting rid of dirt in our hands is washing it with water. However, it

is much better when using a soap while washing our hands, because soaps help to

break down germ-carrying oils. Also, soaps facilitate rubbing and friction that can

remove germs from the hands, and so that these germs can be rinsed away with water.

Additionally, using soap also adds up to the time spent by people on washing their

hands, as a result it ensures a more effective way to avoid diseases and viruses.

Furthermore, in the current circumstances that each and every individual is facing,

namely the spread of the so-called virus, the COVID-19, washing hands with soap

regularly, is truly necessary in order to avoid and reduce the spread of the said virus.

Due to the increasing demand of soaps, alcohol and other cleansing products,

Wash ‘A Think Company offers a product, which is a liquid hand wash soap, named

liquify, that is made with mild ingredients. The ingredients are papaya enzymes that

help to exfoliate dead skin cells and also to whiten, soften and smoothen the skin.
Moreover, a kojic acid is also part of the ingredients, in which it naturally helps lighten

skin, because a kojic acid is derived from a variety of fungi and organic substances that

is used in order to diminish dark areas that result from excessive pigmentation in the

skin. In addition, liquify also contains phenoxyethanol that serves as a preservative to

avoid formation of any microbial build up. Lastly, a distilled water which helps to prolong

the product shelf life and phenoxyethanol that serves as a preservative which helps to

avoid formation of any microbial build up is also added as part of the ingredients.

Liquify is designed for healthier and smoothen hand skin. Unlike the other liquid

hand wash, Liquify is much more perfect for cleansing your hand which not only aims to

avoid and reduce spread of germs and viruses, but also aims to smoothen the human

skin, while using the product. Also, it is inexpensive and convenient to use anytime.

Competition

This section includes market data that supports the product's launching in the

currently identified market. There are a variety of comparable products available,

including Lysol Antibacterial Hand Wash, which costs 130 pesos in a 225 ml bottle,

Watsons Cool Mint Scented Gel Hand Wash, which costs 179 pesos in a 500 ml bottle,

and Safeguard Pure Whiite Liquid Hand Soap, which costs 90 pesos for 225 ml.

Since the spread of germs has increased especially during these times of

pandemic, washing our hands more thoroughly is necessary. In order to perform this

correctly, we need to add more cleansing goods to the water. Liquid soap is a common

choice among a large number of people. Although liquid soaps are good at removing
dirt and bacteria, they have been linked to skin harm. Let's look at why it is. This occurs

because some liquid soaps deplete skin moisture when used to wash hands. Some

beauty-conscious individuals have conducted research on numerous brands that

feature additional moisturizing ingredients that improve skin radiance while also

containing germ-killing chemicals.

Liquify, a liquid hand soap, was created by Wash ‘A Think. The ingredients in

this product are Distilled/Deionized water that prolongs the product shelf-life, Sodium

Lauryl Ether Sulfate (SLES) for cleansing and emulsifying properties, Coco

diethanolamide (CDEA) which enhances the effectiveness of main surfactant,

Cocamidopropyl betaine (CAPB) which helps reduce irritations and serves as foam

booster, Sodium chloride (salt technical grade), Phenoxyethanol colorless liquid with

pleasant smell acts as fixative ingredient, Propylene glycol as a moisturizer for curing or

preventing dry, rough, sealy, and itchy skin, Kojic acid for skin lightening, Papaya

enzymes which helps exfoliate dead skin cells, whitening, softening, and smoothing the

skin. We combined these various ingredients and chose them because they are known

to help keep our hands clean, healthy, and attractive. We believe that, in comparison to

our industry competitors, we were able to provide an affordable liquid hand soap with

these kinds of ingredients that is efficient and effective. This product is intended to make

our hands healthier, smoother and eliminate germs. Because of the additional

moisturizing effect, the new foam liquid soaps are even better than regular liquid soaps

since their introduction. Another advantage of liquid soap is that it is more portable.

Small children can use it without assistance and effectively limit the risk of germ
transmission. So we can say that liquid soaps are superior to bar soaps in terms of

quality and consistency.

Key Issues

Liquid soap is a common choice among a large number of people. Although

liquid-soaps are effective in getting rid of dirt and germs, they have been said to

damage the skin. This occurs because some liquid-soaps remove skin moisture when

washing hands with them. Some people who are beauty conscious have conducted

research on numerous brands that contain additional moisturizing ingredients that

improve skin radiance while also containing germ-killing chemicals. Liquid soap is costly

because of the added packaging materials like bottle and pump dispenser used. The

cost of liquid soaps tends to rise. Due to the usage of a plastic container and

dispensing equipment, liquid soap is not environmentally friendly. Both of these things

take up more space in landfills and can possibly cause pollution.

Sales and Marketing Goals and Objectives

The distribution of liquify hand wash products will begin around the store

location. When liquify already established a name and a brand reputation, the company

will extend its reach and target to increase 30% of its sales. Promote business by

bringing the customer feelings to different brands by acquiring the customers’ needs,
establishing a good reputation through excellent service and quality product. Provide

customer information and knowledge about product specification, like ingredients and

benefits and its advantage to other brands to attract them and promote the product. To

start the promotion as a newbie to the market, start first with a low price compared with

other hand wash but always look and ensure its quality, continue to develop new

markets by keeping learning/ research about customers and develop new markets by

extending the operation for wider reach. And when it is already established, start

performing a product and market adjust strategy by increasing sales and production but

still always look up the product quality.

Value Proposition (Competitive Advantages)

Before the spread of COVID-19 across the globe, washing hands was necessary

in order to avoid and prevent the spread of germs such as bacteria and viruses that

cause various diseases. However, because of the rapid increase in the spread of

COVID-19, it has greatly put an emphasis on the necessity of washing hands regularly

or even every time a person communicates to other people to ensure non-

contamination of the said virus. In relation to this, Wash ‘A Think Company offers a

liquid soap product, named liquify, that every individual would surely patronize,

especially in the midst of a pandemic. Liquify is made of mild ingredients to ensure that

it will suit human skin. Liquify is made of ingredients that help your hands to whiten.

Also, liquify can effectively cleanse the hand to avoid any infectious germs, viruses, and

diseases, as well as impurities. In addition, liquify also contains phenoxyethanol that

serves as a preservative to avoid formation of any microbial build up. Furthermore, it is

suitable for use in homes as well as in areas like public places, banks, hospitals and

others. Lastly, it is easy to apply and is skin friendly.

FINANCIAL CONTROLS

Wash ‘A Think will assess internal controls to be established to prevent

fraudulent activities that might affect the company. This process and procedures make

up the reliability of financial aspects, the business will rigorously implement the following

financial controls.

I. Cash Receipts

I.1 Authorization

Establish processes to ensure proper reporting of cash receipts.

The finance manager is responsible for reconciling sales to cash

transactions and informing management of cash overages and shortages.

The finance manager report should be reviewed and reconciled by the

General Manager before it is implemented.

I.2 Separation of Responsibilities

Establishing protocols to guarantee that specific jobs are kept separate, as

well as to avoid and identify fraud and error is essential.

In the case of cash collections, the finance is in charge of receiving them,

while the general manager is in charge of documenting them.

The accountant is responsible for maintaining accounting records.

The transfer of funds between two parties should be confirmed,

authorised, and documented by both parties involved.

I.3 Safeguarding

Establish measures to keep the firm's monetary assets safe from theft.

The finance manager and the general manager should be the only ones

who perform a physical count. Cash should be stored in a safe drawer

with a combination lock.

The place where cash is counted should be secure and free of disruptions.

Every collection or Saturday, money should be deposited into a bank

account.

I.4 Recording and Depositing

Deposits should be submitted in their original condition.

It is recommended that all cash receipts be recorded on a cash receipt

form.

Checks should be made payable to the general management.

I.5 Reconciliation and Review

It is necessary to keep track of all receipt numbers.

Cash transaction records should have the same information as deposit

records.

2. Petty cash fund

II.1 Authorization

Petty cash funds should only be authorized and managed by the finance

manager.

Funds should only be utilized for business objectives that are consistent

with the cashier's authorization.

II.2 Segregation of Duties

The finance manager is in charge of keeping money in reserve, while the

general manager is in charge of reviewing and approving the

replenishment of funds.

II.3 Safeguarding

Petty cash should be kept in a secure lockable box separate from the rest

of the cash.

II.4 Recording and Depositing

A small cash reserve should be maintained and replaced as needed.

All payments from the fund should be accompanied by an actual receipt

that demonstrates the amount of money spent on the particular item.

II.5 Reconciliation and Review

The general manager, who has signing authority but is not in charge of

fund storage, should check the documents, confirm that the total fund

amount is accounted for, and authorize applications for fund

replenishment.

The petty cash fund should be evaluated on a regular basis.

3. Hiring and recruitment

To ensure honesty and capability, employees should go through the

recruiting, selection, and a hiring program.

Employee attendance and attitude rules will be strictly enforced.

The corporation has introduced a "no-pocket" policy for cashiers in order

to reduce the temptation to steal.

The manager's routine of supervising employees compliance with the

company's rules and procedures will be observed on a regular basis.

4. Payroll
IV.1 Authorization

Only the general manager should have the authority to approve forms.

The HR manager should also have the authority to approve any changes

to hour tracking or reporting procedures that occur.

Employees should not give their approval for actions that affect their own

income.

IV.2 Segregation of duty

Only the HR manager should be in charge of preparing employment

documents and examining payroll records, according to industry

standards.

IV.3 Reconciliation and review

Payment expense reports for payroll should be examined and authorized

on a monthly basis.

Cash control entails keeping cash safely and accounting for it. Any person who

has possession of currency must be held liable for any variations in it. At the end of the

day, two individuals should be counting the cash and making deposits. If just one

person performs these tasks, there is a considerable chance that the money will be

misused.
Examining financial accounts will assist the company in determining whether any

odd actions occurred in the store. WASH' A Think's financial accounts must be checked

at least once a month in order to detect and prevent any fraudulent practices.

Access in the company internally generated financial statements, transactions,

CCTV, cash, inventory and others must be given to their respective positions. Access

should be limited to the position.

VII. Risk Plan

In this section, Wash ‘A Think company is to identify the possible risks that might occur

during and in the future plans of the business. The purpose of identifying the possible risk is to

make an analysis for it and to prepare for risk mitigation.

Type of Risk

In business, there are a lot of risks that we can look forward to encountering before, and

during the business is operating. Doing business means that you are prepared to encounter

those problems and must be ready to meet head-on to those possible risks. There are a lot of

risks that we might encounter in doing our business, especially that we are in the food industry

wherein our production is based on the inventories that we have, there are also some problems

that we might encounter because of the possible failures in the equipment. The following are the

possible risk that Wash ‘A Think might encounter:

i. Fire hazard / outbreak

ii. Machine breakdown

iii. Employee accident

iv. Vehicle breakdown

v. Equipment safety

What needs to be considered?

As we've stated above, there are a lot of possible risks that our business might

encounter and all of these things really can affect the daily operation of the company.
Once those risks weren't able to prevent or maybe lessen the possibility to encounter

those risks, it might affect not only the operation but also the profit-generation of the

company. Stated below are the following consideration that might help to prevent or

reduce the possibility of the risk(s) stated:

I. Fire Hazard or Outbreak refers to a situation when the factory and/or its

machinery ignite as a result of error committed by a member of staff. In

order to prevent such occurrence, the management shall ensure strict

compliance to instructions on the usage of the machinery. All electrical

appliances must be switched off before the company closes for the day.

Industrial fire extinguishers must be installed at strategic points in the

factory.

II. Machine breakdown is a situation where these equipment cease to function

due to technical fault. In order to avoid these situations, control measures must be put in

place to provide adequate servicing for all machines.

III. Employee Accidents To curb this accident, operators must be well trained

and vast in the use of the equipment. He/she must be sensitive and conscious to the

factory environment.Secondly, men and women of good medical records shall be

employed. However, First Aid Boxes shall be made available in the company. secdti

IV. Safety of the Equipment Location. The equipment is safe and secure due

to the tight security arrangement put in place by the Cooperative Society coupled with

the security surveillance of the industry park.

What are the steps to reduce risk?

In order to fully assess the risks that are classified above we must know and be

efficient to look for possible things that can reduce the possibility of these risks. We

know that there are a lot of things that need to be put into consideration in avoiding

those risks but we know that we are fully equipped to reduce the possibility of those

risks to occur. These are the possible things that can help us to reduce the risks:

1. Consider and assess the hazards within the organization that can cause a fire.

2. Properly conducted equipment inspections with a maintenance program that includes

preventative and predictive maintenance in addition to reactive maintenance.

3. Employees should be trained to recognize hazards and to report them to the

appropriate person so that the hazard can be corrected as soon as possible. Work

requirements involving safety should take precedence over any other.

VIII. Structural and Management Plan

Organizational Chart and Structure

The Organizational structure is a graphical formation that shows the important

details in the organizational structure including the major functions and their position

and responsibility. The figure below shows the proposed organizational structure of

Wash ‘a think Company. The key functions of each of the members in the business are

listed on it.
Our business chose the functional type of organization. This is one of the

most commonly used types of organizational structure in which all activities in the

firm are grouped together according to certain functions. This is the best structure

that will fit to the overall operation of the business. This is quite complex but

effective and efficient for every partner and employees of the organization since

the work is divided into specialized functions. The specialists must be consulted

before any decision is taken no matter relating to his specialized area. The
manager can totally focus on his tasks and can perform managerial activities

well.

This type of structure can be applicable for a long time as long as it fits in

the business since it offers a greater scope for expansion as compared to line

type of organization. It does not face the problem of limited capabilities and

facilitates better control and supervision in the business firm. Despite of the

disadvantages of this type which are the confusion and conflict in roles and

responsibilities, it still the choice of the proponents for it can supervise a large

number of subordinates while in line type, it can only supervise a limited number

of subordinates and this is more efficient in accomplishing task and there is

teamwork and cooperation of all members of the organization. We used it as our

consideration in choosing our organizational structure is the size of our business.

instead)

Staffing Strategies

A staffing strategy is a process used in our business. This approach permits us to

analyze, examine and plan actions that take our company from where it is to where it
needs to be. After defining our objectives, the next phase of this process is assessing
the current situation. Determine what opportunities or limitations, both internally and
externally, can either advance or hinder those of our objectives. Next, convert our
objectives into action plans, and then initiate and put those actions in place. Wash A
Think prepares steps to build an effective staffing, or people strategy

● Determine first our business goals

The best starting point for our staffing or people strategy is our organisation’s
business plan, which should contain both short term and long-term goals for the
company. Whether it’s to increase turnover, expand into new sectors, launch new
products or grow through acquisition, these goals are all inherently driven by our
people. So that our strategy needs to be fully aligned with the company’s objectives.
● Establish our current people landscape

After knowing what our organisation’s objectives are, we need a complete picture of
our current workforce. Having an accurate view of our people, starts with a single
source of truth. If our people data is held in disparate systems, this must all be
consolidated into one system to give the maximum insight of our people or staff.
From here, we can build reports and actionable insights about our people, such as
having accurate headcount reports, establishing skill gaps, and identifying high
potential candidates for leadership roles as part of our succession planning.

● Identify staffing and people needs

For a successful staffing and people strategy, Wash A Think needs to understand
the skills, experience and resources required to achieve our business goals. To
maximise the efficiency of the recruitment process, we need to consider the timeline
of activities required to fulfil each role, and plan accordingly. We need to analyse
further data to establish this, like, what roles do we need, how long does it typically
take to recruit them, what’s the time frame for induction and ramping up to full
productivity because our existing workforce data will provide useful insights that we
can use as our benchmark.
● Create a future staffing projection

With the current workforce picture complete, it’s a good idea to build a long-term
staffing strategy for the next five to 10 years. They will need to share the long-term
vision for the company so we can factor in if there’s going to be a company
restructure or any future acquisitions that will bring new or different staffing needs to
the business. Also, work into the projection of succession planning as different
employees get promoted during the course of the next five to 10 years – as well as
which departments are going to become vital to the future success of the company
and therefore likely to expand in size.

● Develop a strong employer brand and workplace culture

Understanding how to build an environment in which people love to work is vital to

retain the best as part of our strategy. We don’t assume that everything we need to
create the perfect people strategy can be gleaned from within the walls of our own
business. Search online for models that we can replicate, attend workshops and
seminars, and use social media to ask for ideas.

● Review the plan regularly

The business needs can change rapidly so even scheduling an annual twelve month
review of our plan is unlikely to be enough. Regularly review our plan to ensure that
we can flex and adapt to the people's needs of the business if conditions change at
a moment’s notice.

The termination or signing of our single biggest client could have a drastic impact on
our staffing requirements and operating margins. If creating great workforce
experiences is at the heart of our people strategy, we’re using data to gain true
actionable insight on our staff, and follow these steps then we have all the
ingredients for creating a successful staffing and people strategy that works in our
business.
Professional Advisers

These are the reputable and well-known expert advisers who can not only give

substantial direct and professional support, but also provide credibility to our

‘A Think will be technically assisted by a consultant.

Financial Advisor The financial advisor helps the Wash ‘A Think to

monitor and assess the investment performance as

the company may not always have the time to do it.

Staffing Controls

Staffing controls are responsible for developing employee behavior in order to

prevent potential difficulties in all areas. Its adoption will assist employees in molding

into the most effective and efficient style of working, allowing businesses to reach

their full potential. The management provides a set of guidelines to assist the

organization in promoting peace, integrity, well-organized, and smooth business

operations.

1. Verbal Caution
When employees engage in problematic behavior, they will be issued a verbal caution.

An oral warning serves as the first stage in the progressive punishment procedure,

alerting the employee that a problem may exist or has been detected that has to be

addressed.

2. Verbal Warning

A verbal caution is less severe than a verbal warning. When a problem is detected that

warrants a verbal warning, or when an employee participates in improper behavior while

a verbal caution is in force, the employee will be given a verbal warning. Verbal

warnings are recorded and filed in the employee's personnel file, and they are valid for

specifying the duration (e.g., three months)].

3. Written Warning

Unlike a verbal warning, a written warning is more serious. When an employee engages

in conduct that warrants a written warning or engages in unacceptable behavior while a

verbal warning is in force, a written warning will be issued. Written warnings are kept in

an employee's personnel file and are valid for specific duration (e.g., three months)].

4. Suspension

Unlike a written warning, a suspension without pay is more serious. When an employee

acts in conduct that justifies a break or engages in unacceptable behavior while a

written warning is in effect, the employee will be suspended. An employee's suspension

will be documented and will last for specific time(e.g., three months)] regardless of the

length of the suspension.

5. Decision-Making Leave

The employee will be penalized and sent home for the day on decision-making leave

following a suspension. This is intended to assist the employee in deciding whether or

not to stay with the organization. If the employee returns, they will be required to work

even harder than before to adhere to the Managements’ policies and continue working

without interruption. Another alternative with this leave is for the employee to resign

because it is not a good fit for them.

6. Termination

When an employee engages in conduct that justifies termination or fails to rectify a

situation that resulted in less severe discipline, they will be terminated.
