Hello everyone I am Bhavyata Khanna, welcome you all to mission

admission. I am back again with the new video on DU Admission
2020.
So today I will tell you about most famous and versatile course of Delhi
University that is BA Programme. Many of us have a lot confusion regarding
BA Programme because it contains many sub specialization subjects that one
will opt for their three years graduation and they also find it difficult to
understand its cut off process.

Through this video I will try to resolve all your confusion and try to make you
understand more about BA Programme.

Let’s get started

So first you need understand what is BA Programme

BA Programme widely-offered undergraduate coursedepth and is completely

different from other courses inwhichyou studying a little bit of many subjects
rather than studying one subject like in (hons).In this you need consider 2
discipline subjects that are also called sub specialization subjects which you
will study in your entire three year graduation.Some of the these subjects
offered by the university include Political Science, History, Mathematics,
Economics, Computer Application, English-D, Philosophy, Family And Child
Welfare), Human Resource Management (HRD), Geography and a few more.

All the Colleges of Delhi University has different combination of these

discipline subjects like history + political science, history + English,
Geography + History, Political science + Geography, Economics + Maths and
many more combination and they will issue a separate the cut off list for each
of combination of subjects

Admissions in BA Programme are merit-based on the basis of cut-offs

released by different du colleges, except in St. Stephen’s college , St.
Stephen’s college also includes a Written Test and an Interview along with a
meeting the requisite percentage. But Due to the covid 19 pandemic, du has
already decide to not to conduct interview sessions and meetings to main
social distancing.

Eligibility Criteria

 The selected 2 discipline subjects should be included in your class 12th

broad examination mark sheet are eligible. In case one of two
subjects is not present in your class 12 t h then a deduction of 1
percent will be imposed on the aggregate of the best four.

 Any one Language from the list A Category can also be selected as a
discipline subject as well as the other subject.
 One should score 50% or more in English or Hindi
 With one language from list A and combination of best three
other subjects from List A and List B will be found eligible.
 Students from different fields such as science or commerce and are
applying to arts programme will need to face 5% deduction in best four
subject evaluations.
 If any student includes any subject other than those in List A and List B
in the combination of the best three will lead to a deduction of 2.5
percent per subject in the aggregate of the best four. 

Now I will tell the Top college of Delhi Universityin which you can take
admission in BA Programme and also tell you the college’s previous year cut
off list for BA Programme

Firstly you need to understand the Cut off for BA Programme is released by
the college for the combination of 2 discipline subjects separated, so you check
cut off according to the combination made by university

Further, I am just telling you the cut off of BA Programme according to

colleges. So that you can have an idea…..St. Stephen's College: Humanities
students belonging to the general category the cut off gone to 96.5. And for the
commerce and science stream students belonging to general category cut off
gone to 98

choose my perusing BA Programme. it gives you the freedom to choose
your career as per your career choices.
After completing graduation in BA programme you can continue with
your further studies in the post-graduation courses in any discipline,
whether it is History, Political Science, Hindi, English, MBA, L.L.B.,
B.Ed. and after you can also prepare for NET /SET Exams.
