Career Journal Project

My first job priority is Fashion merchandiser/purchaser. From the title, it is clear that I

have to be a fashion shopping expert and have intermediate skills. It can predict the trend before

it actually appears. After an exhaustive survey and shopping list, I need to buy fabrics, fashion

goods and textiles that corporate customers and consumers know to buy. In addition to paying

attention to details, the work of a fashion clerk also implies a sense of business and a knack for

numbers. I will need to do some calculations, respect the budget I need to buy, and consider what

my customers are spending on specific fashion items. I will really enjoy this because this job will

give me the opportunity to make me able to meet new people and also I don’t have to stay in one

place all the time.

I think I can enjoy my second job as a product manager. Product managers working in the

luxury and fashion industry are responsible for product planning and execution at all stages. The

enjoyable thing is to conduct market research and identify customer needs. Whether I will use

clothing, footwear brands, fashion accessories, I need to oversee the company's entire product

development and production process to ensure that the product meets customer needs. Close

contact with all departments, the main goal is to develop an effective marketing strategy to

attract specific customers. My job will be to create a message and image for the specific brand I

represent, which is easily recognizable and close to my audience. As a product manager, I will

check the quality, product design, sales and marketing teams to manage the company's

production process.
