Voltage and Current Measure
Voltage and Current Measure
Voltage and Current Measure
Experiment No: 1
Experiment Name: Current and Voltage measurement
Equipment: The equipment here used is a digital multimeter register breadboard and DC power
supply
Digital multimeter: A multimeter is an estimating instrument that can quantify various electrical
properties. A regular multimeter can quantify voltage, obstruction, and current, in which case it
is otherwise called a volt-ohm-milliammeter (VOM). Simple multimeters utilize a microammeter
with a moving pointer to show readings.
Breadboard: A breadboard is a simple device designed to let make circuits without the
requirement for fastening.
Power supply: A DC-DC power supply converts direct current coming from the power source (a
battery) from one voltage level to another depending on the point-in-time needs of the device
being supplied. DC is the preferred type of power for electronic devices.
Resistor: Resistor is an electrical component that reduces the electric current. The fixed resistor
type is the most common resistor.
Set up of all equipment:
Theory:
We are going to measure the current and voltage on Tinkercad. For measuring this we use here a
Digital multimeter, dc power supply, a breadboard and a resistor. We connect all the equipment
how we learn to connect by our instructor.
Procedure:
We will take a multimeter, a dc power supply, a resistor and bread board from Tinkercad
search option.
We will connect the positive terminal of the power supply and multimeter on the positive
terminal of the breadboard and do the opposite for the negative terminal.
We will set value before starting the stimulation.
We will start measuring the value observe and put the value on data table.
Data Table:
Table 1 Measuring voltage and current (R-1Ω)
1 5A 5A 5V
2 6A 6A 6V
3 7A 7A 7V
Table 2 Measuring voltage and current (R-5 kΩ)
1 5A 1.00 mA 5V
2 7A 1.40 mA 7V
3 10A 2.00 mA 10 V
Table 3 Measuring voltage and current (R-25 kΩ)
1 50A 2.00 mA 5 0V
2 70A 2.80 mA 70 V
Precautions:
First, need a working net connection because we are performing this lab in online.
We must make sure all the wire connected on the proper away like positive terminal with
the positive and negative with the negative.
Must give value of current or voltage before starting the stimulation.
