C CALL TO ORDER
A meeting of all the Mathematics teachers was held at Google Meet on May 3, 2021.

D. APPROVAL OF MINUTES
[Reading and approval of previous minutes]

Motion was made by [name], and seconded to approve the minutes of the [date of
previous meeting] meeting. Motion carried.
E. AGENDA
Agenda Item #1: Report on Percentage of Mathematics on 1 st Quarter and 2nd Quarter
Discussion: The teachers saw the percentage of Mathematics as well as the number of
learners with incomplete grades per grade level. They were able to realize how the
learners performed during the first two quarters. It is said to be that those percentage
were quite high already if it is the regular class. But since, we are on the new normal,
compared to other schools, those ratings were low. Therefore, the teachers were asked if
they have high standard on giving grades, they do not like giving high grade, or they
lacked assistance to their learners which resulted to low performance. Most of the
teachers said that it could be the standard set for giving grades.
Action: Therefore, it is agreed upon that the teachers would adjust their standard of giving

grades and would fit to the new normal way of education.

Agenda Item #2: Rank of Mathematics Considering All the Subject Areas
Discussion: It was presented here that Mathematics was ranked last among all the
subjects. The teachers were encouraged to wake up and do something to improve this
situation.
Action: The target is to move the rank of Mathematics from 9 th to 4th.

Agenda Item #3: Reasons and Interventions


Discussion: The reasons for having low performance was discussed as well as the
interventions done.
Action: Apply all the interventions mentioned.

Agenda Item #4: Suggestions to Improve the Performance of Learners on Mathematics


Discussion: Mr. Marlon Marquez, the Education Program Supervisor in Mathematics
suggested some actions that could be taken to improve the learners’ performance on
Mathematics. Here are the following suggestions:
a. Voice Clip
b. Number Concept
c. Diagnostic Drill Cards (DD Cards)
d. Community Based Tutorial
e. Assessment/Performance Task
f. Video Lesson
g. Facebook Group
Action: Mrs. Carmela Dela Cruz, District Math Coordinator, selected some actions to be
taken by our school since other suggestions were already implemented. The teachers
then, were encouraged to apply the integration of assessment/performance task across
all the subjects that are being taught simultaneously per month. She also asked the
teachers to create their own video lesson to arouse more the interest of learners.
Creation of Facebook Group per section was also suggested where tasks would be
posted for learners to see. Other actions such as Number Concept, DD Cards and
Community Based Tutorial were said to be implemented continuously.
