tanging mga mata mo lang

Kung mahal mo ako

sa iyong narinig,

tanging sa mga salita ko lamang

All or Nothing ikaw iibig.

If you love me Kung mahal mo

for what you see, ang puso’t isip ko,

only your eyes would be mamahalin mo,

in love with me. ang kalahatan ko.

If you love me Ngunit kung hindi mo mahal

for what you’ve heard, ang aking bawat kapintasan

then you would love me huwag mo akong mahalin –

for my words. kailanman.

If you love

my heart and mind,

then you would love me,

for all that I’m.

But if you don’t love

my every flaw,

then you mustn’t love me –

not at all.
 Déjà Vu Gunita

I saw it once, Minsan kong nakita,

I have no doubt; wala akong alinlangan;

but now can’t place ngunit ngayo’y ‘di matanto

its whereabouts. ang kinaroroonan.

I try to think it, Sinubukan kong isipin,

time and time; oras – oras;

but what it is, ngunit kung ano ma’y,

won’t come to mind. hindi maibulalas.

A word, a scent – Isang salita, halimuyak –

a feeling, past. pakiramdam, nakaraan.

It will not show, hindi lilitaw,

though much I’ve asked. kahit ano pang aking katanungan.

And when it comes, At kung dumating,

I soon forget – ay siya ko ring malilimutan –

this is how it felt, noong kami’y unang nagkita,

when we first met. ganito ang aking naramdaman.

There are things I miss
May mga bagay akong kinasasabikan
that I shouldn’t,
na dapat ay hindi,
and those I don’t
at mga hindi
that I should.

Sometimes we want
Minsa’y ang hindi kaya
what we couldn’t –
ang siyang gusto natin –
sometimes we love
minsa’y minamahal natin
who we could.
kung sino’ng kaya nating mahalin.
