The platform to be used in the provision of the RSS feed to the executive is the FeedReader.

The choice of this platform is because it is based on the windows operating system which is

the most commonly used operating system. The employer also uses the windows platform

and it is the same operating system used in school. The fact that it is also popular among a

number of users across the globe is also another reason why I chose it. There will be different

kind of information that will be pulled on the screen which does prove to be light on the

technical details of the information pulled on the screen.

The first information to be presented on the screen will be CNN. CNN is an item that has its

relevance to the business because it provides room for business executives to know when and

why their business will be on the news at any given time. This will provide room for

improvement and promote their business on the globally watched both streaming sites and

mainstreaming television. The CNN provides the RSS feed at zero costs hence it will be one

of the cheaper ways of keeping track of the business operations (Ibrahim et al., 2018).

The second information that will be pulled and presented and included on the output screen

will be Google News. This content is relevant because Google search engine is the most

predominant internet search engine in the world. The RSS feed from Google News gives an

opportunity for an organization to get up-to-date summary of the content on the web (Wiley,

2021). The summary contains links to the full content of the information that can be sought. It

is one of the best tools to get real-time data of various activities across the globe as it

synchronizes large amounts of data in a matter of seconds.

The third information that will be displayed on the output screen is the NASDAQ. This is a

relevant item as it provides the executive of an organization the sale of stock in real-time.

The next informant that will be available on the output screen is NY Stock Exchange. These
are however, differ in only that the latter shows the figures in which the stocks are selling

rather than just selling as it is in the former case (Wiley, 2021). The two are important on the

output screen for both comparison and contrasting. This gives an opportunity for the

executive to decide which investment they can make that bring forth optimal yields to the

organization. It is also an opportunity to know which businesses have the potential and needs

improvement as well as those that needs to be scrapped off.

The last information that is intended to be on the output screen is the World News. This

option is most relevant to the organizations that have gone global in terms of their operations.

They will be able to monitor the progress of their business in the countries in which they are

operational. This will be good for decision making process.

The above web-based information platform that is proposed is such an important tool for

executives in the business sector as it will keep them posted and on the know about corporate

news and data. The system can also be used for monitoring of the competition to the

organization since a good executive is on the lookout not only for their business but also on

the competition surrounding the business.
