Q1. Answer the following Question on Meter (6 marks)

 Explain the concept Flashing light in this meter?
 Stroboscope is acutally a instrument that emits a series of berief , intense flashing lights at spefic
interval.
 When the flashing light from a stroboscope is directed onto an object rotating at high speed (e.a
cooling fan inside a PC), the moving fan appears to stand still

 How can we match meter speed with speed of fan?

If the stroboscope emits a series of flashing lights at a frequency faster than the fan rotating
speed, you will see more fan blades than there actually are. In contrast, if the frequency of the
flashing lights is slower than the fan rotating speed by a fraction of a whole number, you will see
the actual number of fan blades.

 Purpose of meter?
 The stroboscope is an intense, high speed light source used for visual analysis of objects in
periodic motion and for high speed photography. Objects in rapid periodic motion can be
studied by using the stroboscope to produce an optical illusion of stopped or slowed motion
 It can measure the speed of jet engine.

 How does object appear to stand still?

 When the flashing light from a stroboscope is directed onto an object rotating at high speed
(e.g., a cooling fan inside a PC), the moving fan appears to stand still. • The stroboscope makes
the fan rotating at high speed appear to stand still due to the visual persistence of the human
eye.

Q2. Calculate Voltage loading Effect of the following. (6 Marks)

 R1 is fixed =10 k ohm.

 Source Voltage =10 V
 Rm=5k ohm.

R2 is changed and Vm calculated across R2 By voltage divider rule.
