Answer:
1. Based on the map, Kauswagan National High School implemented Modular Distance Learning (MDL) , enable us to give quality
instruction to the learners our school has to print Self Learning Modules (SLM). The SLM will be distributed to the learners with the help
of our barangays.
2. The school is not yet complete with those LRs but, we make sure that we have printed all SLMs that are already available for the
learners. If the LR is not available our school adopts locally developed SLM, we make sure that those LDMs have undergone quality
assurance to give justice to what the learners deserve. Other than that, our school also crafts self-learning modules and activity sheets,
it is made as a substitute for those missing LRs.
3. To maximize all of those, teachers need support from the Deped, LGUs and stakeholders such as data allowance, advanced seminars,
workshops, and webinars. Having an Internet connection or a stable connection is important in using LR Portal as well as the support
from the co-teacher in assisting in accessing learning materials, teaching, and professional development resources in the LR.
4. Some materials are not appropriate to the level and characteristics of the learners. This might be a disadvantage to some learners
especially if they have difficulties in reading ability, ability in comprehension, and learning styles. The role of the teachers is to aid those
difficulties, the teacher must always monitor the learners and encourage them to understand the context. And Before producing the SLM
it has undergone quality assurance and subject evaluation to evaluate if those materials are quality and appropriate.

We have discussed and shared that the important support that everyone can provide is by making the LR’s available and
accessible to everybody especially to the students who are the main receiver of the learning resources. It has been also agreed
that LRs might be refined based on the learning level of the learners.

1. Given the LDM adopted in your School, how can the two DepEd portals respond to your LR needs and those of your learners? How do they
complement the LRs that you already have?
The two DepEd Portals are positively responding to the needs of our school and learners because these portals provide learning resource materials
that we need today. These SLMs, activity sheets, interactive platforms are very essential to address the needs of our teachers and learners. The
access to these learning portals also provide authentic learning resource materials to be utilized by learners across the country in the New Normal.
This SLMs is Kto12 compliant, based form the MELCs and passed the ADM Learning Resources Standards.
2. What are the challenges in accessing the LRs in the portals both for you and your learners? How will you overcome these challenges?
The challenges in accessing the LRs in the portals are the following.
a. Poor internet connection that hinders the downloading and accessing the LRs in the DepEd portals
b. Not all learners and teachers have internet connection to access the online digital platforms especially the DepEd commons
c. Not all learners have learning gadgets to access the LR Portals.
3. What support will you need to be able to maximizer the use of the LR Portals? From whom can you get this support?
As teachers in your school, we can maximize the use of the LR Portals through info-drive and simulation on how to access and use the LRMs in the
DepEd Portals. We can get these supports these supports through the strong sponsorship of the ff.:
a. Teachers f. LGUs
b. Parents g. Other government agencies
c. Community Leaders h. NGOs
d. Trained learning facilitators and para-teachers i. School Alumni Association
e. Division LDMs

Learning portals are alternative platform use for providing information aside from printed SLMs. These portals are necessary to give additional
source of information for educators and learners alike. We should be critical in gathering information and be sure that only verified and
approved portals are our source of data.

1. The materials online are targeting the general population while my materials are designed based on my students’ needs. These are also
localized to fit with the environment of my students.
