Point

Family is one of the social institutions that is responsible for rearing children, and
accountable for the continuity of species. It is the basic unit of society wherein all the basics
should be imparted from the parents to their children.

Reason
Families are the foundation in developing good values and characters among young
citizens. It is the social unit wherein children start to understand the fundamental concepts of
right and wrong. Giving the children ample of opportunities to experience life is vital so they
may create on their mind the concepts of different things and situations that they need to face
in life.

Explanation
Helping the children become immersed with the basics in life will ultimately help
them acquire the skills essential for survival. Families need to teach and model to them all the
necessary values that children have to learn and practice in order to be successful in their
individual lives.

Point
Family is the foundation to building a strong nation since it is in this social unit that
preparation of the youth originates. It is important that at the most basic level of society, like
the family, children must be taught and guided accordingly. If all families were responsible
enough in their duty towards their children, they would eventually contribute to the overall
success of the nation. What we see in the children mirrors the values of the family. It mirrors
how the family gives emphasis and importance in guiding, supporting, caring, and loving
their children.
