Point

In this topic, I have internalized how essential values are in our lives. It is really a very
crucial role of the family, the school, and any other institutions in our society to help build
and form good values of an individual. Our values would give way in building good guiding
principles in our lives because values generally help us, shape, and mold us to become the
better version of ourselves for ourselves, and for others.

Reason
Values are developed through the interplay of our cognition, affection, and behavior.
Along the process of development, our environment takes its part in developing our values,
too. As we grow, we develop understanding and concept of values, we then choose from
among these values which are good and are worthy to be emulated. By choosing the best for
ourselves, we have the tendency to repeat and act according to what we believe is right,
beautiful, good, and worthy.

Explanation
Along with our practice of values, we will be affected with the immediate
environment that we have. Because we know how to discern which actions are good, we tend
to change and modify our actions or our values in order to conform with the standards of our
society and culture, our family, in school, and in any society. This makes our environment
crucial in our development.

Point
In a nutshell, values are important. It guides and helps us as we grow and develop into
a better version of ourselves. Acquiring, reacquiring, modifying, and clarifying our values is a
lifetime process. We make sure that our values conform with what is right and ought to be
done in any specific situations. Our environment is vital in developing our values.
