The Compadre System

Point
Compadre System can both be advantageous and disadvantageous. It would only favor
the compadre’s side and would be unfair for those who are not in any way related to someone.

Reason
Compadre system nowadays are most abused in the sense that it can only give
benefits to the few people especially in giving favor, promotion, and political
appointment. Furthermore, it also places negative connotations especially in establishing
fairness in the workplace, politics, and in most areas in life in general.

Explanation
Compadre System may have good side, but only will be for the side of compadres, not
the public in general. It can be seen in our day-to-day undertakings. For example, when you are
at the public places wherein you have to follow a long queue. It is common to see that there are
those people who usually would just not fall in the long line but would resort to calling and
doing the transaction privately to the attending personnel who are in close relationship. The
relationship also would give way to altering the process of promotion, and other transactions that
should have been made public and should have undergone in rigid scrutinization.

Point
Compadre system for me has more negative sides than positive since it would only serve
those few people who are in close relationship to someone. This, for me, is one of the reasons
why corruption and other negative values are practiced nowadays. This would also stain the
good reputation of a public servant who should have done his/her job religiously.
