a. What is benchmarking?

Benchmarking is the process of comparing your


performance to that of your competition by adding a layer of
context to what success and failure means in your
circumstances and in your environment.

To benchmark anything, you need to have quantitative data


available for study. That means breaking down the internal

everything, because only quantifiable information can be
correctly compared.

nature.

Identify: Recognize or distinguish that a certain person or thing is


the same as the one sought or assumed.

Masses: A large group of people, animals or things of the same


nature, very close together and forming a homogeneous and defined
body.

Market: Theoretical place where the supply and demand for


products and services are found and prices are determined.

Method: An orderly and systematic way of proceeding to reach a


specific result or end
Trademarks: Signal that allows to identify or distinguish something
or to give some information about it.

Materials: Elaborated or manufactured matter of which a thing is


made.

Needs: Fact or circumstance in which someone or something is


necessary.

Objective: That is based on facts and logic.

Price: Amount of money that allows the acquisition or use of a


good or service.

Promotions: Advertising campaign that is made of a certain product


or service for a limited time through an attractive offer.

6. Write a ten lines text that summarizes the topic of the Activity.

The subject of the activity is the marketing mix, therefore, it is the


set of variables, the set of tools, with which a company, or a
marketing manager, has to achieve the objectives that were
previously set. The marketing mix refers to that set of variables
that make up the company’s marketing strategy. For this reason,
it is closely linked to the marketing plan.

The marketing mix is very common in the business world and


especially in the marketing world.
As we said, it is the same as the marketing mix.
