This problem considers a 2D section of a square tube bank.

A schematic of the problem is shown in

the figure below. The bank consists of uniformly-spaced tubes with side length of 1 cm, which are
satggered across the fluid flow. Their centers are separated by a distance of 2 cm in the x direction
and 1 cm in the y direction. The bank has a depth of 1 m.

Because of the symmetry of the tube bank geometry, only a portion of the domain must be
modelled. A mass flow rate of 0.1 kg/s is applied to the inlet boundary of the periodic model. The
temperature of the tube wall is 450 K and the bulk temperature of the cross flow water is 300 K.
Present your results in a word file including:

1) Generate geometry and mess for this problem (has the screen capture for the generated
geometry and mesh).
2) Solve the problem using Fluent (screen capture of the convergence history).
3) Velocity vector plot
4) Contours of the pressure, velocity magnitude and temperature, respectively (mirror the
display across the symmetry planes).
5) Calculate the heat transfer rate and the drag on each square tube.
6) Adapt the mess using pressure curvature and compare the newly calculated heat transfer
rate one each square tube with that without adaption.
7) Run the simulation at mass flow rate of 0.2 kg/s, screen capture the convergence history,
and explain the differences with that from mass flow rate 0f 0.1 kg/s in terms of heat
transfer rate and drag (you only need to compare these results).
8) Contours of the pressure for the mass flow rate of 0.2kg/s (mirror the display across the
symmetry planes), discuss any differences with that from 4).
