& LS-Run
LS-DYNA R12 when used in connection
with the ANSYS student license sup-
ports models of up to 128,000 elements
running with 4 cores using shared mem-
ory parallel.
LS-DYNA is a Windows command-
line program. LS-Run is a graphical pro-
gram that can spawn, monitor, and pro-
cess LS-DYNA simulations.
This installer sets up a shortcut la-
beled as “LS-DYNA PowerShell”. It
starts up a shell configured with aliases
pointing to LS-DYNA, LS-PrePost, and
LS-Run so that that you can invoke them
as “lsdyna”, “lspp”, and “lsrun” re-
spectively. For those who would rather
run LS-DYNA from a graphical user in-
terface, this installer also installs and
configures LS-Run with its correspond-
ing LS-DYNA and LS-PrePost installa-
tions. You can also find LS-PrePost and
LS-Run in the start menu.
