 Previous medical & surgical History: No any Past History of Medical and Surgical
 Menstrual History: Menarchy: from 14 years of age, flow-moderate, Interval-28 days,
Duration-4 days
 Physical Examination: External os is open and uterus feels hard with inverted position.
 Vaginal examination
a) Shape of Uterus: Round
b) Size of uterus: 20cm
c) Position of uterus: Anteverted
2. Steps of Cu-T Insertion Carried Out
 Clean the perineum area with savlon solution.
 Insert vaginal speculum and hold the cervix.
 Measure uterine size with uterine sound.
 Open copper-T and adjust rubber plunger according to women’s uterine size.
 Place cooper-T in uterus and place plunger of copper-T. And thread is placed cervical
opening cut thread.
 Clean perineal area and check position of thread.
3. Instructions to the Woman
 Instructed mother to let down for some time after insertion of copper-T.
 Instructed the mother that, If vaginal bleeding occur without menses contact to doctor.
 Informed that Copper-T does not interferes with sexual activity.
 Informed mother about complication.
