Internship, Patient Relations Department May 2021-Present
 Co-leading a process improvement project based on Lean principles with the Imaging department to improve the
consumer experience in two modalities: MRI and diagnostic radiology. Performed literature review of best
practices, performed patient interviews, employee focus groups and patient throughput observations. Identified
opportunity areas in partnership with the steering team and presented findings and project to hospital senior
leadership team for review and recommendations.
 Relaunched discharge call process to contact recently discharged hospital inpatients to identify potential barriers
such as inability to fill prescriptions or schedule appointments with specialists. Reviewed patient charts to
determine eligibility criteria for calls and tracked interactions to triage for service recovery or clinical follow up,
and collected data to use for assessment of recent process improvement project related to discharge planning to
reduce re-admission rates. Throughout course of the project, contacted more than 500 patients with nearly 200
completed interactions.
 Member of the Pain Symposium planning committee, researching 5 national pain conferences to assess content
and subject matter experts, and presenting recommendations to the guiding team.
