Title: SOP FOR EJECTOR SYSTEM Section No.: 13

Sr.No. Description

START UP: To take Hogger in service, proceed as stated below:

1 Ensure that all the drains in the auxiliary steam line are in open condition.

2 Before going for vacuum pulling seal the glands of Turbine.

3 Ensure air line valves are closed for service air ejectors.

4 Vacuum breaker valve is in close condition.

5 Ensure that steam for ejector is available at it’s design pressure & temperature.

6 Open steam valve for hogger & wait for few minutes till it is ensured no water vapour is coming
out fro the exhaust line.

7 Open the air valve of hogger ejector.

8 See the vacuum is being built up in the turbine exhaust system.

To take service Ejector Operation

1 Ensure that CEP is in operation & CST level is being maintained on auto.

2 Ensure minimum quantity of condensate is flowing through ejector condenser.

3 Identify the ejector set & open the steam for second stage ejector of service ejector .

4 Open air line for second stage ejector.

5 Open steam for 1st stage ejector.

6 Open air line for 1st stage ejector.

7 Now hogger ejector & service ejector are in line.

Isolation of Hogger Ejector

1 Close air valve for Hogger ejector.

2 Close steam for Hogger ejector.

3 See that vacuum is being maintained by service ejector set.

SAFTEY PPE’s : Ear Plugs, Safety Goggles, Hand Gloves, F-rod etc.
