LET US KNOW

If a vowel within a word does not generate a sound, we refer


to it as a short vowel. You will find more than not that words
composed of three letters are ringers for containing short vowel
sounds. This activity will help you begin to write words that contain
these short vowels.

LET US REMEMBER

Short vowel words refer to a word that does not allow the
vowel in that word to make a long vowel sound. In other words, a
word in which a vowel does not make a long sound is a short vowel
word. Short vowel words can be three letter words or words that have
more than three letters.
