II. RATIONALE:

Education is said to be the key for generations of Filipinos to become full-fledged,

productive members of society. Meanwhile, education in the time of Coronavirus Disease
2019 (COVID-19) has impacted the normality of the educational system. It shifted to a whole
new normal.

In the new normal, teachers are called to transform the means of teaching,
especially since online tools and resources present numerous affordances that teachers and
students can take advantage of. Teachers are then expected to curate the best and efficient
online learning resources about their topics and can make the learning process a personal
journey for every student. Moreover, teachers are expected to design effective synchronous
and asynchronous learning activities that enable sustained engagement, self-regulation,
voice, and choice in students. To be able to do these, teachers should always remember that
sound pedagogy comes with the readiness.

Hence, the Capacity Building of MCHS Junior High School teachers is initiated to
adopt, implement and manage online and modular teaching modalities to whichever is
appropriate to the context of the learner.
The vision of this 5-Day Capacity Building is to create an atmosphere of readiness
among the teachers who are the front liners of the educative process. This will capacitate
