2. What is the main delivery of this course?
The main delivery of this course is to support teachers in their preparation
for the new learning delivery modality (LDM) in their School.

3. How can this course help ensure that you will be able to deliver quality instruction in
the “new normal?”
This LDM course helps ensure the distribution of quality education in the
new normal through the new learning delivery modality chosen while protecting the
health and safety of learners, teachers and other DepEd employees.

1. What are the two support mechanisms that will help you with your learning in this
course?

The two support mechanisms that will help me with my learning in this LDM
course are as follows:
1. self-study
2. collaboration through the Learning Action Cells (LACs).

I can ensure that I will be able to withstand my strengths and address the
obstacles through effective time management, efficient collaboration among the
members of LAC members of group 1, and constant communication to our LAC
Coach.

Course Content
Learning delivery Modality
Modular (Print) Distance Learning

Distance education is the education of students who may not always be

physically present at school. Physically separation of teacher and students

during instruction and use of various technologies to facilitate students-teacher

and student-student communication.

Today, teacher takes the responsibilities to prints, distribute of the modules,

monitoring and checking the process of the learners.

Stake holders in the communities are needed to act as para-teachers to help the

learners.
INTRODUCTION

The closing of schools around the world has raised significant challenges to the
delivery of quality basic education in the on-going global crisis. The learning
Delivery Modalities (LDM) was established by the Department of Education to
ensure that the learning requirements are still met in response to the needs of the
learners.

The LDM2 is a task-oriented course the delivery of the course is urgent action of
DEPED to this on-going pandemic. In this new normal, it is a learning delivery
that combines or a mixture of Modular distance Learning, Online Distance
Learning and Television/radio-based Instruction.

The LDM courses aims to improve the readiness of teachers and school
management of learning delivery modalities consistent with policies and Covid-
19 response framework adopted by the government and provide guidance to the
field officials in making informed decisions delivery modalities appropriate to
their context.
FOREWORD

The Philippines faced numerous dilemmas during the Covid-19 pandemic.


Citizens were forced to adapt to the new normal settings and classes were moved
to an indefinite time.

On the height of the said pandemic, the Department of Education almost


called for an Academic Freeze. But still, the authorities found ways to secure the
sustainability of education among learners.

Through the DEPED initiatives, alternatives ways of learning were developed


to suit the needs of the masses during these trying times.
MODULE 1:

COURSE OVERVIEW
The Learning Delivery Modalities 2 Course (LDM) is a task oriented course. The delivery

of this course is an urgent action of DepEd to this ongoing pandemic as also part of DepEd’s

Learning Continuity Plan. The main concern of this course is to delivers education to learners in

this new formal settings by using Self Learning Modules prepared by selected teachers which are

designed for self study.

Given the current situation of our country due to the global pandemic and on our

educational system is doing it’s best to adjust in providing alternative ways for learners to access

quality education, the implementation of this course engage us to become more “ Knowledgeable

and skillful”. This will also urge us to undergo better the needs of our learners and th most

effective ways to provide instructional/ assistance considering their health and welfare.
