TOPIC CONTENT WHO SHOULD GET BAPTIZED?

WHAT IS BAPTISM? ›› Jesus taught that ALL of His disciples should

be baptized (Matthew 28:19). Whoever wants
to be a disciple of Jesus should be baptized.

›› If the Lord Jesus Himself, who never

committed any sin, met the requirement of
being baptized, how much more must we?

JESUS WAS BAPTIZED ›› Burial: We cannot start again if we continue
to carry our old habits, hang-ups and hurts.
Our past remains symbolically buried in the
water - all our old habits and everything that
was part of our old nature.
›› Resurrection: When we come up out of the
water, we are new creations who have been
born into a new life: a life free from the
slavery of sin (Romans 6:6). This new life no
longer belongs to us - it belongs to God (2
Corinthians 5:14-15).
